A Message from Tom Grams family
Tom loved so many things in life- hiking, back packing, backcountry skiing, rafting, white water kayaking, and helping people- especially those in the remote parts of the world where the people might never have seen a dentist without him. He had a true love for going to Afghanistan because of the Afghan-Americans he had met in the United States as well as his fascination with the country, its history and its culture. It was a country with so many needs and he was having an impact with his dentistry. Continuing those projects is the best way to continue his legacy of helping the Afghan people.

"What an extraordinary exquisite human being in the guise of a normal caring dentist ruminating about the status of the villager's teeth."

"This is usually how I pictured Tom, walking off with his hands clasped behind him...like a monk doing walking meditation. I had asked him if he knew what a bodhisattva is. He said he didn't. I said I think you are one."
